| Mercedes CLK320 Tip | 31 May 2006 19:09 GMT | 5 |
I'm looking to buy a second-hand CLK320 Tip. I am however a little confused by the Tip designation. Parkers shows both standard Auto and 'Auto/Tip' options for this model. I thought all Mercedes Auto boxes had the gate that allowed semi-manual operation?

| Jap sports cars; buying advice | 31 May 2006 14:39 GMT | 12 |
I currently drive a Celica GT-Four, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth and I think it is time to get something newer. Even though they are noisy bone-shakers and have an undesirable "chav" image, I still want yet another Jap sports car.

| Fifth Gear "competition" car... | 31 May 2006 13:33 GMT | 12 |
VBH driving a blue Honda S2000 this week in the article about prototype-azzis - obviously filmed earlier this year. Anyone remember this car being the prize in a Fifth Gear comp about, ooh, 18 months to 2 years ago. She said it was "hers" at that time...

| Update on the 'Shafted' Mondeo Driveshaft !! | 31 May 2006 07:03 GMT | 16 |
Hi to all who helped out with my long, rambling post about the shafted driveshaft incident on my old Mondeo (the Mk.II 2.0 Zetec Ghia X). I just banged on the new (non-Ford) driveshaft this afternoon, as per the recommendations of the group. The car now drives beautifully again - ...

My punto 1.3 multijet van does around 52mpg at 70/75mph. At an indicated 57/60mph, around 74mpg. These are steady speeds on relatively empty motorways and in the latter example fitting in with the speed of HGV`s in the inside lane.

I have been asked by er indoors to fit a cd player to her transit van, I have removed the old stereo, a Ford 4000 traffic, but I do not know the pin outs on the connectors, I have tried the local motor spares, but the connector they have listed does not fit.

My Mondeo is about to die, on the plus side for the first time ever I have a chance to think about what car I would like and a *bit* (approx 3 grand) of money to spend on one.. For some reason my heart keeps saying an MX-5, not to everyone's taste I'm sure, but I really like it.. ...

| Courier work ( part time) | 28 May 2006 10:53 GMT | 7 |
Cant figure out how to make it work, or whether in my case is it worth trying? Any advice would be much appreciated. I`m 58, retired with a private pension that puts me straight into the 22% tax band, so I have no tax free allowance if I do some part time work.
