Bridleways with Road Names30 Jun 2006 21:38 GMT5
I'm currently locked into a debate....
Can a bridleway here in England have a name that ends in 'Lane'?
Would it indicate that a road has been changed into a bridleway, a track is
still a road or is it just a name?

Jag XJR tyre choice29 Jun 2006 18:58 GMT5
anyone here any advice on tyre choice for the V8 XJR?   They use Pirelli
P-zero Assymetricals as standard but the inner-edge wear on the front is

I don't mind paying good money for good tyres, but I'd like good life from

How to check the oil on an E30 BMW 325i28 Jun 2006 15:28 GMT4
Well, I finally managed to get a fastish RWD car for around 200 quid,
but it does not have a manual.  Do you check the engine oil when it is
hot or cold?  Is there any other oil levels to check (gear box, rear
diff)?  It is 1990.
Lambda Sensor28 Jun 2006 06:57 GMT6
SWMBO's car just failed it's MOT on too much CO - what the garageman thinks
is the lambda sensor needing replacement.
It's a dealer part only apparently for this car - a 2001 Hyundai Amica GLSi
Auto.

Is a saloon more upmarket than a hatch?27 Jun 2006 15:01 GMT48
I thought this deserved a thread of it's own.
Everything else being equal , is a saloon more upmarket than a hatchback or
even an estate?
As an example , the current mondeo comes in all three body shapes (and I'm
driver side door handle broke - mot fail?27 Jun 2006 12:27 GMT4
My heap of junk Rover Coupe continues it's quest to be the most
junkiest piece of crap I've ever owned.
Yesterday I went to open the door, heard and felt a gentle little
*snap* sound, and now the door handle moves freely but fails to do it's

Astra VXR head unit26 Jun 2006 16:49 GMT4
Anybody know if the standard cd30 astra head unit is suitable for
connecting to an amp ie does it have the pre outs?  I want to avoid
swapping the head unit as its rather big and I would be left with a
hole if I swapped it.  Also I think the trip computer is controlled by
Renault Espace bodywork25 Jun 2006 13:08 GMT1
I've just bought a Renault Espace which has suffered from some damage to the
sill (see http://tinyurl.com/jbkq5 ), and was told by the seller that it
could be fixed with a bit of filler.  Anyone know what sort of filler I
need?
Engine management24 Jun 2006 20:28 GMT5
I have seen online, handheld devices which seem to read the engine
management.
I am sick of seeing the light on the dashboard (intermittent) and would like
to know what the thing is moaning about from one day to the next.
