So a diesel wins Le Mans for the first time ever...23 Jun 2006 12:38 GMT72
Does that make them cooler now? Especially the Audi ones? Y'know, I
think it does.. or at least, it will. Once the Audi adverts come out
with the Le Mans racing tie-ins, showing the diesel in a progressive
new light, a sporty car? You never know, maybe they'll make a Audi
BMW 118d versus Audi A3 1.9tdi versus Golf GT 1.9tdi - Compare Well?23 Jun 2006 12:25 GMT49
Lining up some alternatives to buying a new Civic because I will have more
money available than I thought - so need to line-up a few vehicles to test
I have already driven the BMW 118d SE and was impressed by its handling and
build quality despite what reviews have said.
The end is nigh for diesel cars?23 Jun 2006 12:00 GMT9
Doesn't happen very often, but today I started thinking...
More and more new cars are sold with diesel engines.
More and more drivers are getting better fuel economy.
Less and less money is spent on fuel (ignoring price fluctuations).

document? I havent got the results, are they readily available from the test
centre.
I ask as I have a car using a sh.t load of oil, it was tested last month

306 XTDT electrical faults21 Jun 2006 22:15 GMT4

Merc 180 or Saab 9-3?21 Jun 2006 18:20 GMT6
That's my choice at the moment.  Saab is at a local dodgy dealer.  S
reg, drove it tonight, seemed fine but a manual and I prefer auto.
Late 80k miles.  Some sqeaks from suspension going over speed humps but
otherwise fine.  Having driven autos for so long I find it a hassle
Which looks less of a rip-off?20 Jun 2006 23:38 GMT9
I'm looking to either trade in my overheating Toyota Estima or bung it
on eBay.  There's a local dealer who offers £1k min PX (a fairly
common sales tactic).
He has the following which are of interest.  All have 70k to 80k miles,
My much-loved Mondeo Ghia X is on eBay - Aww! :o(20 Jun 2006 22:46 GMT9
Just thought I'd let you know that I finally put my beloved Mondeo 2.0 Ghia
X on eBay. A couple of you expressed an interest, so I don't consider this
to be 'Spam' or 'Unsolicited Advertising', or anything else like that. It's
been a much-loved friend for the last 7 years, but ...
Experiences Of Tom Tom Go?20 Jun 2006 15:32 GMT64
What are people's experiences using these devices? In terms of installation
and daily usage. I am still looking into funding a car for business and it
has been suggested that I just buy my own sat nav system rather than go for
a higher priced model that has this built in.
