I have had my Tom Tom Go for about a month now and have used in two cars and
I have only managed to get the car charger to work once

in hard to ensure contact but only once did it actually connect and I was ...

Police fuel30 Jul 2006 20:59 GMT8
It occured to me the other day that I've never seen a police car
filling up with fuel. Presumbly they have their own supplies? Tax free
red diesel probably!
Corsa Twinport30 Jul 2006 11:44 GMT11
For a month or two I've been snikering to myself when I've seen a
Corsa that says "twinport" on the back, since 'obviously', it just
means two door and it's designed to sound cool to the kids. Then I saw
a five door one and then again today, on an Astra. So I guess that's

Matte Paint = porous?29 Jul 2006 21:56 GMT4
Does anyone know if matte cellulose paint is porous? Got some for an old
Massey and don't really want to paint it to have it rusting away in a year
or two.
Cheapo car alarm29 Jul 2006 15:24 GMT23
Where could I get one? All the alarms I've looked at are superduper things
and I just want a very basic two wire job.
Any ideas?

Spinning a Caterham, breaking a Clio, scaring myself to death in a JP1,
Roaring with laughter in a Nissan 350Z, driving a mad off road course,
Grinning like a posessed fool (and getting cramp) in an FPA and failing to
keep a 911 in a straight line on a completely sodden road.
best speed to go over cattle grids?29 Jul 2006 09:37 GMT16
hi folks. You know the grids, that stop sheep etc. What's the optimum
speed to go over them you reckon, to do as little damage to your car,
and the most comfortable etc?
Obviously never brake whilst going over them!
Your *Two* Dream Cars?28 Jul 2006 23:58 GMT35
What would your two dream cars be?
I say two because, one is allowed to be more practical than the other
if you need to carry a family or friends in :), so for arguments sake
my two would be a Ferrari F40 and for practical purposes the newest

How much property was involved do you suppose from when the government
owned the land and everything on it?
Never mind the millions that the news vendors are touting at the moment
the real cost of the car industry has been horrendous has it not?
Car accident - insurers say write-off - alternatives?28 Jul 2006 18:22 GMT3
I had a bit of a car accident, I drove into the car in front on a
roundabout and have done a fair bit of damage to the bodywork at the
front of the car.
The mechanics tell me the car is OK, that the engine is fine, and that
buying a car abroad (from Italy): delivery and doubts28 Jul 2006 07:17 GMT10
I'm Italian; I saw a car in autoscout24 that is very convenient
(probably too much!); I got in touch with the seller who told me that
it is in a warehouse in London and that they will deliver the car to
Italy paying 25%, that I can check and control the car for a week and

The EcoMag Activator System is a revolutionary component that can reduce the
fuel consumption combustion engines, while at the same time reducing
