| Top Gear: The F1 car indoors segment | 19 Jul 2006 22:27 GMT | 22 |
The Chevrolet Lacetti reached 70mph, the F1 car reached 81mph. These were the kinds of results I expected, but not for the reasons they said. They said that it was due to the F1 car not being able to put the power down. It didn't seem to show much problem in the footage (a

| Air-con Dry Mouth | 18 Jul 2006 20:22 GMT | 12 |
Last Autumn I changed my car from a Nissan Almera 1.4 GX (penultmate model) to a Toyota Avensis T2 1.8 petrol. I've noticed that when the air-con is ON, I now get a very dry mouth, which I find quite unpleasant. I didn't get this with the Nissan.

I'm thinking of buying a 2 - 4 year old focus estate, 1.8 TDi, but don't really know what the difference is between the CL/LX/Ghia/Zetec ? Will these all have the same BHP? Are there any other differences worth knowing, any worth avoiding?

I've been looking for a car for weeks now. Finally decided that it makes sense to get an estate. Quick search on Autotrader for automatic estates found me some 1999/2000 Omegas, a 2001 Skoda Octavia, a 2000 Vectra, a 2001 Alpha 156 sportwagon, a 2000 Mitsubishi Spacewagon and

On my last couple of trips to France I've been given a Renault Megane as my hire car, which is a bit odd in itself as in the past they I've normally been given VWs, Fords or worst of all..... an Astra (orrible). Anyway, on my last but one trip I was given a Megane with the 1.5 TD

| Part EXchange advice? | 16 Jul 2006 12:37 GMT | 7 |
On Friday I went into a dealer to buy a new used car (year old) I chose to part exchange my old one (Rover 25). Not being as market savvy as I should be the part exchange price I thought at the time was a bit low but I wanted the new car.

How much does a 53-seater coach cost to run, per mile? Anyone got any idea, or able to point me in the direction of somewhere that has that information (be it online or offline i.e. magazine of some description). Ideally a guide figure based on replacement after 4 or 5 years.
