Mazda MX-5 Mk2 1999/T Petrol warning light?17 Feb 2007 08:07 GMT3
My Mazda MX-5 Mk2 gets very close to empty from time to time, but to
this day I have never seen a petrol warning light come on. I can't
seem to find any resource on the internet that would tell me if the
car even has one!

I know that if you look at a car on ebay, you can get 3 checks for £15

Cat D on HPI register - Bad?16 Feb 2007 08:55 GMT4
I'm guessing that part-exing my car is going to be a no-no !!!!!
Must admit it was a shock to me too when I found out.
Whats the deal when it comes to selling this? Am I obliged to tell a
potential buyer about this?

Small Newer Cars with Smaller Newer Diesel Engines and Commuting13 Feb 2007 19:57 GMT14
Afternoon,
Could I have some facts on tackling a 80 mile roundtrip daily in a
smaller newer diesel, say a Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi. Some seem to think
this is a bad idea and is far heavier wear on a smaller engine than the
Escort Heater Problem13 Feb 2007 08:58 GMT2
The heater in my 1996 Escort doesn't give out much heat. Indeed, over
the last few colder days, it was near useless - could this be a
thermostat problem, as the engine seems to run at the correct temperature?
Thanks,

Good afternoon...
Quick query, just so I'm primed for the phone call with the insurance
Best way round M2512 Feb 2007 22:41 GMT6
I've got to make a rare trip around the M25 tomorrow from the M11
junction round to the A3 junction. In the past I've always went
anticlockwise (Watford/Heathrow) because its about 10 miles shorter but
I was wondering if going round the other way via the Dartford crossings
320d12 Feb 2007 18:43 GMT12
Looking at a 320d with high mileage: 120k miles on an 03. What are these
like with high mileage - this has got FSH and has been company owned - so
mostly motorway miles.
Width of UK Cars12 Feb 2007 17:09 GMT10
In connection with my work on designing access to buildings/garages
etc. I'm trying to estimate how much wider the typical car is now
compared with say 15-20 years ago.  I need width including wing mirrors
for typical cars of the mid/late 1980's, e.g. Escort, Astra and Golf.  It
Clio bonnet opening.10 Feb 2007 20:37 GMT16
Recent BBC 'Watchdog' report about bonnets opening at speed.
Any comments?
My impression is that it's maybe too easy for the average non-tech motorist
to realise that the safety cartch has not engaged.

Alittle bit of snow...09 Feb 2007 20:17 GMT3
Well 6 inches here infact.
Still slightly scary to end up going sideways in the Xtrail no matter which
way the wheels are pointed though!
