Crunchy clutch Micra (K11)20 Mar 2007 17:30 GMT4
Not sure if anyone can give me a clue about this but...
I've recently bought a 1998 Nissan Micra 1.0 Tempest and all was
working fine until a couple of days ago. It seems to have developed a
problem with putting it into 1st and 2nd gear. It's almost as if the

Are small cars over-tyred these days ?20 Mar 2007 08:44 GMT17
I've noticed lots of small cars are now wearing big wheels and tyres. Like
Clios and Corsa's with 185/55 x 15.
Are manufacturers overdoing it a bit - the owner has to replace these more
expensive tyres eventually, and they quite often lead to increased road

from the key hole, engine does not stop running!! Any solution ?
Vehicle removal advice19 Mar 2007 19:05 GMT2
I'd really appreciate some help here. Friend has a scrap car sitting in
the driveway. It is moveable but not legally driveable. Do local
Councils offer removal and scrapping services or must it be arranged
privately (and how/who). I'm assuming some cost implication either way.

Registered owners19 Mar 2007 15:48 GMT4
A mate of mine was asking if there were any websites (Free ones) that
you could look up the current registered owner of a car/vehicle, I'm
assuming similar to how the police use to find out who owns a car.
Any ideas?
Stalling or Attempting to Start in Gear18 Mar 2007 14:57 GMT2
Morning,
It's not that i'm constantly stalling my engine or starting in gear, but
I have managed to accidentally do both in the last week. Trying to
ignore what that says about my abilities and level of attention, do
Mazda MX-6, opinions17 Mar 2007 11:47 GMT16
I had a look at a Mazda MX-6 today, it will be for sale in a couple of
months.
Its a 93, 2.5 V6, manual, there doesn't look anything wrong with it. A local
mechanic is running around in it at the minute and he reckons its straight.
noisy breaks , micra16 Mar 2007 21:56 GMT92
My micra has recently started to make a binding type noise
around the wheel when driving, breaking,  sometimes intermitent.
Is this worn pads or binding and is it an easy D.I.Y. ?
car is old .  13 years

Air in service stations16 Mar 2007 12:24 GMT10
I have a slow puncture[1].
At every petrol station in my home town the air machine is out of order and
has been for as long as I remember.
On a recent trip to 40 miles down the M6 I pulled in at all the services for
Seat Leon15 Mar 2007 17:21 GMT16
I bought a 52 reg 1.9 TDI  diesel recently, only 22K miles on the clock & I
am appalled at the fuel consumption.  I am getting 350 miles per 50ltr tank.
I've had an emissions test done & it looks fine.  No obvious problems.
Anyone got any ideas?
Multipla ABS14 Mar 2007 20:48 GMT17
When I am steering and breaking heavily in our Multipla the ABS does its
thing and braking effort is reduced to what feels like near zero.
Is there something wrong with it (my impression) or is this normal? It is
really disconcerting when approaching a curved juction urgently.
