Import right hand drive car, buy in dollars?07 Mar 2007 08:54 GMT3
I'm looking to import a right hand drive car to the UK, but for the
foreign dealer to have us$ as their native currency. This is because I
have us$ in the USA and want to pay in US$.  Converting to £ is an
option, but the exchange rate is awful at the moment. I looked on wiki

Clio Die-sel > full of petrol06 Mar 2007 22:39 GMT9

Anyone having problems obtaining a new Mazda?06 Mar 2007 21:08 GMT13

Insurance question - they taking the piss?06 Mar 2007 14:25 GMT4
I've just updated my car insurance as I'm getting a new car - they have just
mailed me to say that there will be an extra charge of £165 that will be
debited from my card shortly.
Now, I understand it would perhaps go up by that much for the total of my
Yaris or Micra?06 Mar 2007 09:41 GMT12
Any opinions on this?
I'm expecting to do 50 miles/day commute weekdays for maybe a few
months, then moving so maybe 10 or 20 miles/day after that.  Some long
journeys on weekends.  Reliability and overall economy are the top
Toyota Puris06 Mar 2007 07:07 GMT7
Britain's worst car is the Toyota Puris. Oh yes it's supposed to be
great, because it's environmentally friendly. But, those who drive
them are the victims of a massive joke. Because, the Puris is also one
of the ugliest cars ever made, and other drivers laugh at them. Toyota
Mitsubishi GTO or Mazda MX506 Mar 2007 07:00 GMT2
I'm trying to decide if to go for a Mitsubishi GTO or Mazda MX5? The
GTO is, of course, my number one choice. But I have my reservations,
as its the more complicated of the two. Is there anyone on here with
experice/owner of a GTO? Are they reliable? Parts easy to get? I

What's the longest your car has been in the garage?05 Mar 2007 10:28 GMT5
Im not talking rebuilds but significant engine work[1], what is a length of
time where it is reasonable to consider that just about any job should have
been done by now.
And at what point is it acceptable to pull a freaky?
