Wind up / scissor car ramps availability30 May 2007 22:38 GMT3
Does anybody know where wind up car ramps can be bought?  I missed these:

Windscreen crack30 May 2007 15:06 GMT6
I have a crack in my windscreen with a stonechip in the middle.
It is on the passenger side, extends from the bottom of the screen, approx 5
inch long, to the passenger edge of the screen, approx 1 inch up.
Will I need to replace? Is it a MOT fail?
Bioethanol, new car fuel?30 May 2007 12:23 GMT8
The principle fuel used as a petrol substitute for road transport
vehicles is bioethanol. Bioethanol fuel is mainly produced by the
sugar fermentation process, although it can also be manufactured by
the chemical process of reacting ethylene with steam.
Tyre sizes29 May 2007 17:51 GMT6
I have 215/40/17's* on a Mazda 626.
Cornering at speed makes me grin like a dickhead but I can't help feeling
the ride suffers considerably.
It looks like the normal size is 205/55/15.

A) Skoda Fabia 1.2 70 HTP- sounds ridiculous- like a cross between a sowing
machine at full chat and a ladies-pleasure implement!! Resplendent with cup
holders, and soft touch dash, quite surprisingly nippy, but works best over
4000rpm, sounds like it wants to rev to a million ...
Good Carbody Repair Shop in Portsmouth28 May 2007 12:27 GMT2
Yes, someone rear ended me yesterday - anyone have any recommendations as to
where to take my slightly shorter (Light rear end damage) Chrysler Neon for
an insurance quote?
Many thanks in advance

Any views on Car Giant?27 May 2007 12:01 GMT12
Prices seem reasonable on a number of 3-4 year old used that I'm considering
at Car Giant (White City, London) - anyone any experience of using someone
with (apparently) 5,000 cars in stock?
The "buying procedure" which seems to involve filling out enquiry forms,

Aircon and fuel economy - one for Dervman perhaps?25 May 2007 21:40 GMT10
Has anyone ever bothered to see which is more economical - driving on a
motorway at 75 with windows open or driving with windows up and aircon on?
Just curious..

Electronic speed limiters: What if...25 May 2007 18:35 GMT26
It was GPS based (and let's assume it just works), and like was said,
it enforced you to do no more than the speed limit. 20 in a 20, 30 in
a 30. You get a different style number plate so that people behind you
will have a little more patience knowing that you're going as fast as
Polish car mechanic?25 May 2007 11:57 GMT20
I can't bring myself to type how much I have just paid to have the clutch
sorted on our Multipla.
Oh the pain. It's gonna take some drink to stop that from keeping me awake
tonight.
Cars Being Photographed On Streets25 May 2007 07:10 GMT6
A friend of mine said that he saw a VOSA vehicle recently and all they
seemed to be doing was photographing passing cars without any means
odf stopping any  and he wondered why .
Tax Discs came to mind but they have this info on a database anyway
