Latest motor has a pair of "Fate O" brand tyres on the front - presumably
put on by the garage for the MOT, which is new - apart from the fact that
"fate o" sounds like a dire premonition of doom, has anyone ever heard of
them and should I get rid of them pronto? They *look* okay ...

My brother raves about the quality and value of Colway remoulds for his
old BMW which takes metric tyres. Reckons they're way superior to 'budget'
tyres, and he's just bought his third set.

What payment options are available for paying VAT on arriving back with an

I hope this is not OT. For the last 7 years I have driven on my wife's
insurance as "spouse", however the time has come to think of having the
insurance in my name. Prior to retiring 9 years ago I had a company car,
on retiring I bought my company car and had insurance on that ...

I've been asked where the AUX input to the radio installed in a Ford Fusion
is.  The book shows a picture of it, but gives no clue as to where it is.

Well, I will tell you where they were, they were out with their speed guns,
catching innocent non-terrorist motorists like me doing 33 mph on a 30 mph
zone.

Sorry , slightly off topic I know.
I'm going from London to the New Forest the end of next week on the M3
& M27 with a full carload including doddery mother in law and young
baby and want to avoid getting stuck in any big jams.

I know you can pretty much do what you want with the back side windows
but what about the rest of the car?
For instance, the rear window, the two front side windows and the
windscreen ???

The other night 'we' needed to pick something up after work so left in her
car.
Upon getting home I couldn't be arsed going to get the car to bring it home
so left it there (small industrial park).
