I've just had the battery replaced on the remote key in my 1998 Mondeo, and now it won't work using the buttons, but operates fine using the key in the door. I took it to a local autoelectrical place as I know this operation has to be done within15 secs, and I've never done it ...

Can anyone point me to the location of the central locking box of tricks? The Haynes B.O.L has it on the circuit diagram but I can't find any reference to the location of the actual unit... Just thought I'd ask before I rip the wrong bit of the car apart :)
