In to-days Daily Telegraph Honest John suggests that nothing is saved by
coasting in neutral as against rolling in gear.
I find that if I coast down a slight gradient in neutral then the
consumption is shown as 99.9 mpg and the rev counter sits at 800 rpm.  On
