Help - Steam coming from my engine and 'coolant reservoir' is almost     empty- do I just top up with water?31 Jan 2009 16:45 GMT9
As I approached work this morning I noticed steam coming from my
engine and a slight smell.
When I got to work I checked the engine and the coolant reservoir was
almost empty.

My Focus TDCI never warms up - the gauge stays on cold. However the economy
is fine (65mpg to work) and the heater will blow warm air.

It appears that there is no longer a concept of 'taking a vehicle
permanently off the road', and that you have to either scrap it and
get a certificate, or keep SORNing it every year? Is this correct?

watched an episode of 5th gear last night where bill bailey was taken for a
drive in a "chip fat limo" by the irritating bimbo..
anyhow,s  she claimed that using chip fat = no duty to pay?  I thought you
had to pay duty if you were using it as a fuel? or have the rules changed?
