As I approached work this morning I noticed steam coming from my engine and a slight smell. When I got to work I checked the engine and the coolant reservoir was almost empty.

I have a V plate Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6 Petrol. I understand it has a Paper oil filter (rather than older metal can spin on one). Easy question - where the heck is it located in the engine bay ? I beleive its behind a panel somewhere ?

It appears that there is no longer a concept of 'taking a vehicle permanently off the road', and that you have to either scrap it and get a certificate, or keep SORNing it every year? Is this correct? Steve

watched an episode of 5th gear last night where bill bailey was taken for a drive in a "chip fat limo" by the irritating bimbo.. anyhow,s she claimed that using chip fat = no duty to pay? I thought you had to pay duty if you were using it as a fuel? or have the rules changed?
