Breakdown cover.31 Mar 2009 17:27 GMT30
Green Flag would appear to give good value.

Any 1st hand info of Green Flag v the AA to help me make a decision?

My mk3 Golf CL TDi has a problem with the front driver side electric window
control to both front windows. Sounds very similar to the issue on this

Yesterday we got a bit lost just north of Notting Hill Gate in London and
afterwards we were not sure whether we had strayed into the Congestion Zone
or not.
When ringing the help line, they would not look on their system to tell me

The advantages of old cars No 23726 Mar 2009 20:09 GMT31
I  did 250 miles up to my brother's house yesterday morning in my old
MX-5. Nice journey, good weather. Had a brew with him, then went back out
to get something out the boot. Put the key in the boot lock, turned it,
it snapped. Now, this being a shite old car, I only got one key ...

Diesel Estate26 Mar 2009 13:40 GMT54
Looking to make a diesel estate purchase, cheaper the better
obviously.....those on my mind are 320d, Passat 1.9 Sport 130, Audi A4 or
maybe even Golf MK IV estate (might be big enough).
Really fancy an A4 but they just seem so high in value - I am thinking about

Do scrapyards do refunds?25 Mar 2009 11:21 GMT13
I bought an rear wiper assembly from a scrappy, and now I've found the
original motor was good, the fault was elsewhere. I bet that they don't do
refunds, especially on electrical parts!
Before anyone says ask them, it's 6.30 pm, I'll try in the morning. Just
On board computer25 Mar 2009 02:22 GMT17
I have just done 517 miles in the first car I have owned that has an on
board computer. I have just filled it with 42.08 litres which equates to
55.8mpg. But the computer tells me that the average is 51mpg.
This leaves me wondering what parameters it uses. First off, it's obvious
Is this a bargain ?24 Mar 2009 11:53 GMT7
I have been trawling the local forcecourts for a bit of a bargain as I
noticed prices were a little down a bit. But a few people at the
places said they are not as "the price of used cars has increased fo
the last 3 months due to the shortage of new cars being sold creating
