I've often thought...31 Jul 2009 10:51 GMT21

Insurance31 Jul 2009 06:15 GMT4
When obtaining an insurance quote online you are asked to state any
modifications from the manufacturers standard specifications.  I

this correct?
snow chains on R19 wheels27 Jul 2009 12:15 GMT3
This is nonsense advice isn't it?
Manager(?) at snow chain supplier "you cannot fit snowchains on these
"large" sports wheels because they might foul the bodywork".
So I checked..

one day insurance24 Jul 2009 14:09 GMT2
After calling my current insurer who said theres no such thing as one day
insurance and they most certainly don't do it. I called back up to get

A few years ago I used someone but can't for the love of god remember who.

Yes I know it all comes from the same pot but......
After filling up on nowt but Shell, BP and Esso for the last 6 months,
I put a tank full of Tescos best quality DERV in the Mondeo. Within 20

5th wheel exibition trailer19 Jul 2009 00:55 GMT8
Next season we're thinking of mounting a stand for trade fairs. As it will
have infrequent use we were thinking along the lines of the trailers that
get used on film sets, with a fifth wheel on a 4wd pick up bed.
This should give a better capacity than an ordinary towed caravan's 3 ...

My daughter's Clio (1.5 CDI) has a nail in the tyre. Is it still a proper
fix to put a inner tube in - it has alloy wheels.

My bro is looking at a Primera 2.0 SLX on an R plate with an auto
gearbox. 83k on the car, full MOT, FSH.
Does anyone know if the auto boxes are typically Japanese and reliable,
or if they're like the older Mondeo and made of cheese?
58 Focus hatchback: towbar + rear impact bar09 Jul 2009 08:16 GMT5
Just had one fitted by a mobile service recommended
by my local ford garage, who don't fit towbars.
He called to say he had finished, and when I arrived,
he opened my boot to show me a heavy steel bar. He

Requirements are as follows, and TBH I don't know if there's a product
out there which fulfils them:
No claims discount03 Jul 2009 10:49 GMT1
Last year, when I changed car insurers I had 9 (or more) years no claims
discount.  I had this on my certificate/renewal notice.  However, this
