I was watching the 1955 version of the Ladykillers last night and was
intrigued by this car.

Stuck in traffic jam - how much more fuel?27 Aug 2009 11:54 GMT6
Knowing how bad the fuel consumption on my Sedona is around town, I
was wondering how being stuck in a traffic jam (at say walking pace)
affects mpg.
Badly I would have thought. Any ideas? How much fuel does a car use

Small car with auto box24 Aug 2009 15:25 GMT25
Our main car is a 4.0L V8-engined beastie, which is obviously quite
thirsty. Add to that insurance costs and what have you and it is quite
expensive to run, but we love it and won't change it, so our second car
(the wife's car) has to be much more economical to offset some of the ...

Yesterday I travelled along a road near Lanark,Scotland with the
intention of having a look at a river .I knew where I was going
and the layby I intended to stop in .In order to get in to the layby I

cam belts19 Aug 2009 10:39 GMT28
I went to an independant  VW garage a few days ago to find out when a
cambelt should be changed. (It was about my daughter's 8yo 65K Leon.)
The answer was between 60-80K or 4 years. Hmm. I don't take issue with the
mileage but where did this stuff about 4 years come from?
Green flag18 Aug 2009 22:11 GMT12
Car insurance policy is up for renewal and so is the AA membership.  The
AA has given me some ridiculous price to renew (and yes I can get it
cheaper off the internet but ...).
Does Green flag do what it says on the tin?  :-)  For example with the
Ping Adrian..18 Aug 2009 01:11 GMT2
Adrian, as you're a fully paid up member of the Citroenista, maybe you
can help me.
My father has tasked me with disposing of a Citroen AX GT interior he
got for yet another in a long list of failed projects. Where would be
Rear wheel drive16 Aug 2009 20:18 GMT30
Ok,this has probably been done to death but bear with me.
I have an ancient (old 'P' reg Mk1) MX-5. It is a blue Dakar model, 1.8i
with big fat tyres. It is probably worth about £600 (if that). It has
76,000 on the clock. It's goes like a deranged banshee off the lights.
RAC Advert15 Aug 2009 20:46 GMT17
Just seen the RAC ad on TV and wondered what car it is that's stuck in the
mud. It looks a bit like the old Astra but it's rear wheel drive

British Cars of yesterday (comment)12 Aug 2009 18:51 GMT15
Remember the crap cars we had to put up with - that started to rust in no
time? It makes me think that the industry was very arrogant not to come up
with a fix - it wouldn't have been rocket science. It may even have saved
some of the manufacturers from the onslaught of imports. ...
Air Cond12 Aug 2009 18:46 GMT7
My 7 year old car needed its air con gas recharging as it had stopped
working. I had this done about 10 weeks ago for the first time. Today it has
failed again. What is next on the pecking order of fixes?
The hamster strikes again10 Aug 2009 00:20 GMT2
