I can't remember the exact figure, but I though the later Minis on 12"
wheels with teh 3.1 diff did about 20mph per 1000rpm?
Only, either the thing I have got is very quick (for a 998cc!), or the
speedo's very optimistic, I'm trying to work out which!

I have recently bought a 1975 Spitfire 1500 and have a worrying noise
coming from what seems to be the middle of the back of the car. I was
wondering if anybody had any ideas what it might be? it starts being
noticable as a quite rumbling sound at about 20mph, between 40-60mph

Further to earlier post last week, my Traveller is now back at home

I conversation with my uncle last week he mentioned that immediately prior

to suit the metro exhaust manifold. I have replaced the valve stems and

I know someone with a vitesse in need of complete rebuild.  It was at the
back of a shed he bought and he doesn't want to destroy it if anyone wanted

petrol gauge gos up to what i bleive to be about right bear in mind i live
on a hill incase this has an effect. then by the tme i drive to the bottom

I've got a 2L MK3 Ford Capri Laser that I want to convert from auto to
manual.
I'm taking everything I need off the manual i.e speedo, cables,
pedalbox, prop, gearbox X member, centre console trim etc.

Any reccomendations for suppliers of automotive wire at good prices?
I'm shortly to be re-wiring a couple of cars, and need to look at
getting in a sizable quantity of wire.
Want to keep the costs down.....
