| The Police video is quite convincing | 30 Dec 2004 08:30 GMT | 32 |
I felt the same way about it myself until I went to the website. They have some pretty convincing news video reports from USA. One in particular (Fox News) was quite interesting, it featured the Colarado Police actually testing it under there own conditions and quite openly

| Capri heater fan | 28 Dec 2004 00:09 GMT | 4 |
I believe that the heater fan on a Mk3 Capri packing in is quite a common problem, so before I pull the dash apart perhaps someone can suggest a likely cause / first place to check? I have made sure that the connectors in the back of the switch on the dash are connected properly and ...

| advice in importing a classic from USA | 24 Dec 2004 16:04 GMT | 4 |
I wanted to buy a car and import in my coutry (Italy). Italy has no rules in favour of vintage and classic cars, so customs and VAT are the same for cars of any age (35% of declared value total). It was told to me that there are some EC countries with different rules,

| Dismantling 3 series BMW | 22 Dec 2004 12:26 GMT | 13 |
Sorry, slightly off topic here though it could arguably have been a future classic. I'm currently scrapping a 100,000 mile 1990 BMW 316i Lux written off due to flood damage and just want to check I'm not wasting anything with potential value. I've stripped it down to rolling ...

| BMC A-series main bearing strap | 21 Dec 2004 23:12 GMT | 1 |
I have bought a steel strap for my 998 Sprite engine, and had the cap machined flat of course. But the oil pick-up pipe is mounted via a bracket which is fixed to the original centre cap. I'm reluctant to drill and tap the strap - rather defeats the purpose of extra strength. Any ...

| Micra Engine Replacement | 19 Dec 2004 20:57 GMT | 5 |
OK, I know it's not a classic but I used to get a lot of helpful answers when I had the P6 so I thought I'd try here first. It's a 1990 Micra with 107K on the clock and 12 months MOT. The timing belt threw it's hand in and I'm quoted ?400 to fix it. Obviously that's a non
