I am thinking of having a company called "CHIPS AWAY" do some minor cosmetic
work on my car, Mk 2 Jag.  Anybody used them? I have heard marvellous claims
about what they can do,  Can anybody give me a recommendation.  They say
they only work on the chip/dent etc and DO NOT paint ...

The V8 has had a good clean and is about to go back together. Looking
at the clutch plate tonight I wondered whether I should renew it but
can't tell if I need to.
How thick is a new one? and how worn can you let these things get ?

Trying to find out if the starter motors from a mini/spitfire 1500 are
interchangeable? - I vaiguely remember someone telling me a while back
when out in the pub.... Both are Lucas M35J type however seem to have
different part numbers:

I am looking to sell my two MGB's (1.8 & 3.9L) and replace them with one
classic that will carry four people (two very small ones)
The GT6 looks good, but does it have proper rear seats or is it a shelf??

I've been having some suspension issues with the Spitfire (1500) for a while
now, it rattles a lot over bumps and doesn't feel tight anymore. I've driven
one with the standard setup but with polyurethane bushes and that was great.

Even though it is cold & snowy in Minnesota(USA), I took the initiative
of taking the ragtop out of the garage, and into the warm laundry room.
Nice little winter project for me to embark on. That project? Rebuilding
my Spitfire's worn ragtop hardware and slapping on a new ragtop ...
