This year, there was an exhibition of classic cars during "le mondial de

Garage vs Car Cover19 Oct 2006 19:26 GMT26
I am thinking of laying up my 1981 Ford Minster Limousine for the winter.  I
can either leave it out in the cold with a breathable cover over it or put
it in the leaky damp garage.
Which is better do you think?  Is it better off outside where it has air

Keeping warm in an open car with no heater?17 Oct 2006 11:19 GMT5
I can just about remember in the '50s my father - who sold trucks -
driving Albion chassis from Glasgow where they were built to Aberdeen for
a special body to be fitted. Just a bare chassis - no cab or even
windscreen.
Keeping warm in an open car with no heater?14 Oct 2006 18:59 GMT45
Thought I'd ask this question as some classic owners might have a good
answer :-)
I'm driving a DRK Trojan 3 wheeler Morgan rep out to Athens next week. It
has no heater. It has a roof, but it's a soft one with plastic side windows

Which cars used a Brass Solex 26MV Carb.?08 Oct 2006 01:53 GMT9
A few weeks ago at the end of a vintage show/working day, a gentleman
briefly chatted to me about the brass carb that was on my stationary
engine as it was the same as on his car. His carb was not jetted
correctly and had a flat-spot. He had some carb spares and had tried
Magazines for pre 1950 Cars07 Oct 2006 18:04 GMT3
I'm particularly interested in cars made before about 1950 and am
wondering if there are any magazines published that cover this period.
I'm aware of those you can get from W.H.Smiths but what I'm wondering
is are there any subscription only magazines rather like Old Motor of
Widow rubber sealer07 Oct 2006 14:01 GMT15
One of the fixed rear windows on my SD1 is leaking and I'm hoping to sort
