| loud MGB fuel pump | 30 May 2007 01:05 GMT | 5 |
I have a '69 MGB Roadster project car that I am slowly restoring. The fuel pump makes an awful racket (tappity-tappity-tappity) constantly and I would like it to stop. The car runs nicely and there doesn't seem to be a problem with fuel delivery. From what I have gathered, it

| Classic classic cars? | 26 May 2007 18:13 GMT | 15 |
I am working on a non commercial web site (links below) parts of which discuss the history of (British) roads and road transport. I have tried to find out about fashions in car design, colouring and ornamentation to show how these have evolved.

For the last 25 years, I have owned and driven automatics - not because I was particularly wanting an automatic, but because that is what the cars coming my way happened to have. But I have noticed that when I drive a manual now, I have to think about

| Fuel tank sender unit - 1947 Morgan 4/4 | 06 May 2007 12:13 GMT | 4 |
Any thoughts/opinions would be welcome re this problem, guys. Fuel gauge didn't work; problem traced to tank sender unit, so new sender unit purchased - actually for 1966 A-H Sprite, because we knew it would physically fit (ring of 6 bolts). New one did work but, unfortunately, ...

| Stag engines | 03 May 2007 16:39 GMT | 45 |
Just to add to my junk, I've just bought a Triumph Stag for two hundred quid. It's in the condition you'd expect for that sort of money, but does have a genuine Stag engine in it. One that's pretty dead, admittedly, but it's complete, fairly clean and not seized.
