Big Healey Timing30 Jun 2007 17:03 GMT16
I wonder if anyone can help explain this one? My 100/6 has been modified
over the years, little by little so difficult to date when the problem
started; years ago I fitted a later BJ8 camshaft, and I think it has been a
bit wrong ever since. If I set the ignition timing to the ...
Fiat 124 Spider25 Jun 2007 21:28 GMT5
Been thinking about getting a Fiat 124 spider for some time now.  What
should I be looking for in respect to normal areas of rust along with
mechanical problems that are known?
Is there any specific year or engine size which has an advantage over
Ford Zodiac Mk IV Limousine Wanted25 Jun 2007 13:07 GMT16
I'm looking for a MK4 Zodiac Limousine to add to my collection of classic
cars. Runner or non runner. Must be complete and be able to return to the
road with a sensible amount of work. Can collect anywhere in UK.
If anyone knows of one for sale, trade or private, please let me know
Historic Car Tax23 Jun 2007 22:01 GMT20
Hi, for those who own a classic car dated post 1973 please see the

More insurance snags23 Jun 2007 21:55 GMT4
I've just come across another potential problem with my classic insurance.
I have a "named driver" on the policy, a chap I have known for years and one
of the few people I trust to drive my car....
He wanted to take it (with me) to Castle Coombe for a track day, then use it
Insurance for convertibles23 Jun 2007 09:50 GMT6
A warning to convertible owners - a lot of insurers seem to have put in a
clause in their policy under "theft" that the car is not covered if left
with the top down or the doors not locked.
This is a bit tricky with my MGA which does not have door locks, and as

Film Work19 Jun 2007 07:10 GMT8
Anyone have experience of doing film or TV work with their classic?
There doesn't seem much on the web except for big companies and an
outfit called caristhestar.co.uk. Are they any good, or are there
others out there?
Replacing brightwork with Stainless Steel18 Jun 2007 07:55 GMT22
I'm looking to find a company that can manufacture replacement items to
pattern in stainless steel instead of chrome and mazak.
I'm looking for bumpers, overriders, radiator, as well as small brightwork
strip.
Norton Classic Servos16 Jun 2007 15:30 GMT3
Anyone had any dealing or contact recently.
I get no answer on the phone numbers I have, and have not had an
answer for some weeks / months.
I know that there had been some problems illness, but I am getting
MG TC restoration14 Jun 2007 16:31 GMT8
My father may pass on his MG TC to me since he cannot afford to keep
it in storage any more.  We now have to decide if I take over the
storage costs, sell it, or restore it (then maybe sell it).
Basically, a small fortune has been spent over the last 40 years
Think you have too many projects?14 Jun 2007 15:42 GMT4
The next time your other half moans at you for having too many old
vehicles cluttering the place up, show her this:

bonnet emblem mystery07 Jun 2007 23:14 GMT4
bit of a long shot this....
bonnet emblem - big eagle thing, a bit like the Vauxhall Gryphon but without
the lion body-parts.  Anyone shed any light on what manufacturer this might
be?

Sunday Times04 Jun 2007 22:18 GMT2
Does anybody still have yesterday's Sunday Times - specifically the "In
Gear" section?  On page ten there should be an advertisement for KWE Jaguar
(they re-manufacture 1980's Jaguar saloons and XJS, so there is some link to
this NG!).  I couldn't find it, so assumed it didn't ...
