Parked in the street, two streets away from my house, I spotted an Alfa
Romeo Giulia 1300 TI - F reg, so 1967/68
I can't remember seeing one before, so are they particularly rare?

I need to put new tyres on the DS. I've taken the opportunity of the
winter layup to have the wheels blasted and painted, and threw away
the horribly old south african tyres and rather worn Kumhos which were

The previous owner said the diff is grumbling - "there is a lot of backlash
when you move from forward to reverse gears". Is this likely to be the diff
or the auto box?

I've just been offered a 1984 Jaguar Sovereign S3 - wasn't looking for one,
but it just came up....
Major problem is that the headlining is bubbling and sagging, probably due
to water ingress through the sunroof.  It's not a "proper"

A friend has just bought a Wolseley 15/50 shell (same as MG Magnette ZA
& ZB?) with the intention of removing any good bits and weighing the
rest in for scrap, but it seems far too good to destroy as the shell is
surprisingly rust free. There are no doors, interior, glass, ...

I have a personal plate on retention cert that expires in January. What is
the cheapest way to hold on to it? I don't really want it on my current car
but if I DID transfer it, how long does it have to stay on for before it can
go back on retention again?
