| Spitfire Houndstooth Seats | 13 Feb 2008 21:41 GMT | 3 |
I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to help me locate the correct Beige houndstooth fabric that was used on the 1977-1980 triumph spitfires. I've seen the seat covers that are made by Newton Commercial and the

| Ford's latest "innovation" | 11 Feb 2008 11:26 GMT | 31 |
Heard on BBC World Service last night - a spokesman from Ford talking about the new engine, due to be introduced in 2009. Apparently it stops automatically when the car is staionary, then restarts itself when you depress the accelerator. Wonderful for fuel consumption, ...

| Electric fan only - a no-no on a big diesel? | 11 Feb 2008 11:08 GMT | 8 |

| Banger or classic? Acid test. | 03 Feb 2008 03:51 GMT | 14 |
My current daily driver developed a slight squeal a couple of days ago. Probably the alternator belt, might just be something in the new clutch. It's been raining or snowing, so I haven't got round to looking. Shortly after I set off this morning, the noise stopped.

| Timing Light | 02 Feb 2008 10:35 GMT | 20 |
My old timing light has finally bit the dust after being dropped. I fancy one that measures the advance at particular revs, and has inductive coupling. They seem to vary a lot in price, though. Any recommendations for an accurate one that doesn't cost the earth - and a supplier?

| 1275 "A"+ Series | 01 Feb 2008 09:02 GMT | 12 |
I have a Ledbury Maestro with an "A"+ 1275 engine. When it has been left sitting for more than a day or two it is very "three cylindery" for a good number of miles. Up to about 50 miles of my usual DC and motorway driving is usually needed to get rid of the problem completely. ...
