Government response to petition 'Classic-Cars'29 Apr 2008 22:14 GMT98
If anyone remembers this one:
"We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Reject any proposals
to ban or restrict the use of older cars."
There's a response here:
Silicone brake fluid24 Apr 2008 21:36 GMT18
I've just replaced almost the entire braking system on my Herald:
calipers, wheel and master cylinders, hoses and some pipework. Now
would therefore be a good time to change to silicone brake fluid, if
I'm going to do it.
Frogeye clutch?19 Apr 2008 09:12 GMT3
Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the price of replacing the
clutch in a frogeye (ie having a commercial garage do the work)? The
car has the 948cc engine which I believe has to come out of the car to
change the clutch?

"a cheap car transport company" ...

Those of a sensitive nature may prefer to look away now.
I've just got myself a P6 spares car that, as is the nature of these
things, turns out to be too good to break for spares.
It's a 1972 2000TC in dogshit brown (Tobacco Leaf), with paint that's

Talbot or Delahaye?  1930's 1940's coupe02 Apr 2008 09:04 GMT2
http://www.oldstox.com/images/Talbor%20or%20Delahaye.jpg
Can anyone identify this car?  It was in a stock-car race in France
about 1958.  Looks like  custom coachwork, but is it a Talbot-Lago or
a Delahaye?
