| Lycra louts attempt to take over UK Usenet committee | 24 Oct 2009 13:17 GMT | - |
I've just cast my vote in the Usenet UK elections. I suggest others do the same. There are 7 candidates standing for election including four members of the militant cycling party. Do you really want anti-car activists to have any control over UK usenet?

Clark Plasma King 50 plasma cutter. I bought it to restore a 50's van to make the work a little easier so it's been used very little. Can cut through 10mm steel! See the spec and current prices here:

Just about ready to fit the MegaSquirt. Taking my time as I want a nice neat reliable installation. Made up a complete new wiring loom for the SD1 injection - in all the right colours. But decided a wideband O2 sensor was the way forward - allows the MS to

| Im now MegaSquirted... | 18 Oct 2009 00:19 GMT | 8 |
Finally got the MegaSquirt fitted to the SD1. Once I'd finally got it to idle, the rest of the tuning to get it to run well was easy. Fine tuning for max power and economy will, I'm sure, take longer. What is immediately noticeable is how much more poke it has at low to middling ...

| Anybody got a Moggy Trav & a tape measure handy...? | 16 Oct 2009 23:55 GMT | 10 |
I could do with a favour... I could _really_ do with exterior width & floor-to-roof height measurements at the B-pillar and at the body rear. A car cover vendor is claiming that the best cover for the (long, tall)

| An unusual motorhome... | 14 Oct 2009 23:07 GMT | 13 |
Went to the SD1 club spares day at Gaydon yesterday, and there were other clubs there too. Classic taxis was one - and another sort of general one. Which had a Rover P5 motorhome among the more usual cars. Looked not too bad. No worse than any other similar conversion on a truck ...

Hi - I promised to report on this.. For them what don't know it's on a 1966 E-Type, 9:1 pistons (Brit, not European or American spec). For them what knows me of old I apologise for being boring. First impression - absolutely excellent. Pulls strongly from 700rpm to
