| Spray paint speed camera lenses? | 07 Mar 2004 23:06 GMT | 17 |
Is it possible simply to get a can of spray paint and spray the lens of a Gatso to render it useless? Of course no one should do it as is probably illegal, but does seem a very easy simple way, rather than pulling it down!

My wife is buying a new car, a soft top. Never having owned a decent soft top, and I have a couple of questions. 1. Car washes (with the top up <g>). I guess most car washes could damage the hood, but those contactless types should be OK?

Has anybody else been caught out by or at least noticed this? The green signpost on the Euston (or is it Marylebone road by that point) road for the M1 (the north) points straight down Baker Street and into the C-Zone! Ouch-that'll be five quid please!

| Gatso | 06 Mar 2004 18:00 GMT | 35 |
Just what is the problem with the Gatso's? You will not normally be flashed unless you are 10% above the speed limit in force, keep to the speed limits, IE do not break the law and they can put as many Gatso's as they like. Think about it.

| The *Real* Highway code | 06 Mar 2004 09:45 GMT | 43 |
1. A right-lane closure is just a game to see how many people can cut in line by passing you on the right as you sit in the left lane waiting for the same drivers to squeeze their way back in before hitting the road works barriers.

I was in the Sheriff Court one day last week (dunno what the English/Welsh/Irish equivalent is), just sitting in the public gallery watching the cases go by and listening to the bullshit being trotted out by the various defence solicitors. Anyway, one case was where a guy of 19 (of
