Anyone know for sure?  Q215 Jun 2005 16:56 GMT8
Is it ok to undertake on a motorway approaching a slip road once the road
markings have changed?  I am thinking of the M25 Jnc. 10 to join the A3.

I am pretty sure this is ok but am having a disagreement with someone and
Anyone know for sure? Q115 Jun 2005 11:25 GMT35
I am thinking of the A23 northbound in South Croydon by Whitgift School.
A bus lane on the inside and a single lane for other traffic.  Several right
turns.  Bus lane cameras in operation.
So, is it ok to use the bus lane to undertake traffic waiting to turn right?

In a similar fashion has the other 2 questions by Penny.
Imagine, single carriageway with double white line down the middle, which is
fairly wide apart and got hatching in.  The double white lines are unbroken.
A bus stops on one side of the road, and the traffic starts to pile up ...

30 minutes to turn lights off! How daft can you get?14 Jun 2005 16:44 GMT18
I've just taken a car out for a quick run, one which I've not driven
much for six months. On parking it back in the garage, I double checked
that my automatic reactions had done what it usually does and turned
the cars lights off. It seemed from the switch position that I had not ...

I pull in forwards to nearside kerb. Reverse about 10 metres slowly
checking all three mirrors. Huge crash, my hatchback rear screen is
destroyed. No one behind. When I get out this guy on the pavement says
I reversed into him. He is standing upright with a one inch cut on his

Rationale for HGV 40mph limit on SC?14 Jun 2005 06:35 GMT64
What is the rationale for the 40mph limit on HGVs on single carriageway
roads?
If it is safe for an HGV to do 40mph in a semi-urban 40mph limit, then
why can it go no faster on a NSL single carriageway?
Indicator ease-of-use13 Jun 2005 23:49 GMT6
I hired an Astra over the weekend and noticed the indicator switch is just a
switch that you push up to signal right, and down to signal left. The stalk
doesn't stay in the up or down position and click back when it self-cancels.
So I couldn't just put it back in the central ...

HGV drivers are trying to get the speed limit for HGVs on the M180-A46

great number of accidents have been put down to drivers making

DriveCam - In vehicle cameras available13 Jun 2005 13:13 GMT13
For years now I've been wondering why in car cameras have not been
available for members of the public to use to record evidence of
dangerous driving. Now it seems they've arrived, although the IAM has
failed to realise the potential. The main cause of accidents according
