Warning longish post.
Returning from town with wifey this afternoon in our ancient mini, traffic was

Clarkson on Top Gear tonight?
What an excellent example of why cyclists need to be tested, licenced
and insured.

Today's nobjockey04 Jun 2005 22:58 GMT18
Was parked on the corner of a junction, leading into a local shops' carpark.
He was halfway over the dashed line. Police van came up behind him, sounded
the siren once and asked him to move his car.
'I'm just waiting for this guy to move' was nobjockey's shouted reply.
No idiots on my journey04 Jun 2005 19:43 GMT5
Yesterday I drove to Drayton Manor from Port Talbot, and back, and did an
average of about 340 miles in total - there was not 1 idiot on the road, it
was a good drive.

The Usenet hero Phil Kyle is back!
I'm sure I can speak for -=all=- of the Usenet community by saying,
welcome back Phil. My Dave also sends his regards.
I hope Mr P Parsnip and Mogadon John rejoin us soon too. That would be

Today, I was driving along the motorway.  Quite happily, until...
I reached a junction where the on-ramp was about to merge with
the motorway.  I was on the motorway, someone was on the slip
road.  No one else was anywhere near.

Are cyclists allowed to race on public roads?04 Jun 2005 01:41 GMT1326
I went for a drive on Saturday in rural Stirlingshire, near where I live.
Between Drymen and Aberfoyle there was some sort of "official" bike race
going on. Within a 8 mile stretch I came across over 100 cyclists all taking
part in the race,  riding 3 or 4 abreast causing huge ...

anything on this...

My local Tescos have recently tarted up the car parks and put up some new
signs. In the "dedicated parking" the signs now read "Parent and Child
Parking".
So if I were to visit with my father and/or mother we could quite reasonably
Got a reply back frommy MP regarding PC Mark Milton.02 Jun 2005 20:18 GMT24
She will be asking questions, because she was "Outraged" as me as to the
way this case was handled.
I'm amazed to see that sometimes your MP can be contacted.
Wonder how many points she has.
