I saw a beautiful example of the difference between normal and IAM (as
described here) driving on the A75 the other day.
I was in a queue of cars following a lorry doing 56 or so. Twistyish

Gridlock on TV10 Jul 2005 23:18 GMT16
Programme described the events in Herts/Cambs/Essex a couple of years ago
when heavy snow disrupted traffic.
I remember it well. All day I was warning people at work to leave early
because of the approaching snow, yet they all left normal time and got

I'll be driving from Reims to Basel shortly and wondered if anyone had
any advice on how best to avoid getting stuck in traffic around
