happened to me a while ago.
I'm driving at 70mph on the M25 on the newly-completed 5-lane section south
from Heathrow. The VSL signs are not lit. In the distance I notice a gantry
great example of why flashing lights is bad31 Oct 2005 10:55 GMT88
On the way home from work yesterday and saw two examples of why flashing
headlights is bad.
A car ahead of me turned left at a roundabout and I followed. Just after
the turn is an exit from an industrial park. The driver ahead flashed his

The Ultimate Cut In30 Oct 2005 14:19 GMT18
Two lane M53 towards Chester, car driver indicating to come off at the
Chester exit and decides to chance his luck and push in further down
the already crowded and at a standstill exit lane.  No room to pull in
so he actually stops in lane one (yes on the carriageway!) and waits

Traffic jams - benefit to changing lanes?29 Oct 2005 22:18 GMT43
As noted in another thread, I got caught in a fairly long tailback on
the M6 on Sunday, between J33 and J30.
I stayed in the same lane throughout the entire tailback, the only
exception being when I tried getting off at J32 to see if I could plan
Today's drive29 Oct 2005 17:13 GMT141
I'm getting fed up with the IAM now.  I felt happier about my driving
before I started.  I don't have as much pride now, and feel that my
observer is trying to push me too hard.
One of the main factors for failing the last test was probably due to

How many Speed Cam Penalty Notices go to Court?28 Oct 2005 20:16 GMT1057
Hi, I have received a speed camera fixed penalty notice.  It was a fair cop,
I was going a bit too fast, downhill at the time, and overtaking.  Fair
enough.
However I note the form says, "If you fail to meet any of the above
