QDOS ACCIDENT ASSISTANCE LIMITED24 Nov 2005 21:58 GMT2
Has anyone had any dealings with QDOS ACCIDENT ASSISTANCE LIMITED.
My mother-in-law was hit from behind in her car and the garage quoting for
the repair has suggested that she use this company to manage her claim and
to provide a loan car.

No Brake Lights24 Nov 2005 17:34 GMT26
Was behind a tailgater with no brake lights today.  It's really weird,
part of me was thought he was slowing up, the other part was thinking
that he wasn't.  I ended up needing to brake a little briskily at
50mph.  The conditions were foggy too.
M42 variable speed limits go live next week24 Nov 2005 17:31 GMT11
But instead of clearly displaying this from all the gantry signs (when they
aren't otherwise busy) they have just put up a single tiny sign at the side
of the road.
The cynical part of me thinks they don't want people knowing until they have

Pay to have points removed if you're changing address24 Nov 2005 06:59 GMT10
About to send my driving license off to report a change of address.
I've an endorsement on there over 4 years old.  Will they remove this as
part of the change of address, or must I include the £19 fee to have
these removed as well?
IAM Test Tomorrow23 Nov 2005 16:35 GMT12
I'm not feeling ready for it anymore :-(.  Over the last week I have
been travelling by air, as passengers in other cars, and my driving
standard has slipped.  To make things worse the weather tomorrow is
supposed to be really foggy, and my lights are rubbish (I want to get

Warn?23 Nov 2005 11:31 GMT31
If you're approaching a junction with a waiting car, and you're doing
say 60mph (with a 60mph limit), and you suspect that the car may pull
out, what would you do?
Give a short flash of the lights, and watch the driver pull out and
Logical corollary23 Nov 2005 11:01 GMT19
As we all know, BMW drivers /have/ to drive with fog lights, driving
lights and any other lights they can find on at all times, lest other
drivers not be suitably impressed and dazzled by their choice of car.
So there I am, waiting to turn out on to the A75 from the
motorcyclists more aware than car drivers?22 Nov 2005 22:00 GMT55
I've noticed whilst driving that motorcyclists seem to use their mirrors
more and seem have a greater awareness of whats going on the road around
them compared to drivers of other vehicles. Would others agree?

Driving insurance - madness21 Nov 2005 14:47 GMT5
Got my renewal quote for next years car insurance from Budget yesterday.
Quoted me £60 more than last year which included a £20 arrangement fee - for
what?  Doing feck all as far as I could see because they had my credit card
details and would just automatically renew if I didn't ...
