Overtaking on roundabouts??05 Dec 2005 18:54 GMT20
A few years ago it was illegal to overtake after a 'no overtaking' sign and
on a roundabout is this still true? I can't find a rule in the new Highway
Code. Or am I going blind as well as stupid??

I'd just like to apologise to everyone for my naff Driving/Fog lights.
Standard fitting on a Mk 1 Mondeo GLX. You *can't* put the rear fogs on
without putting the front ones on first. Crap design.

I need abit help from you guys since I'm not that familar with the road
system. I am planning a road trip to Manchester and I'm be coming from
just south of junction 32 of the M1 with the destination is A57 in

Noticed a yellow sign tonight coming through the valley CW warning of
roadworks starting "4th December for 6 months".  No sign of any info on The
Highways Agency website.  Anyone know what they're up to?

Yesterday morning I came up behind an older estate car plodding along
at 45 in L2 (of two) of a very long slip road. Nothing in front of him,
nothing at all in L1, but an impatient rush hour queue building up
behind him in a 70 limit. Eventually the two lanes were split up by a

Anyone got any advice on how to pass the hazard perception part of the
driving test? My son uses the official CD for practice, but has failed
the test again. This time the bloke at the test centre said my son
should write to complain as he could see no problem with his test. Last

Ha!  Just gone to the Sheila Wheels insurance website "just to see" and
found that the insurer who does car insurance "designed for the female
driver" also does insurance for men.  So did a quote and it came out at a
fairly reasonable price as other quotes I've been getting for ...
