Mate is wanting to buy a car online but has been told by the website that
after he has bought the car the "manufacturer" wants to keep the log book
for 26 weeks and only then will it be forwarded to him!  I know this is not
normally the case when you buy a car but when buying ...

Speed Enforcement At IAM meeting31 Jan 2006 14:51 GMT33
I collected my IAM certificate this week, and we had a very good talk
by a traffic safety officer, who happened to be my examiner.  The
subject was speed enforcement (brave man).  He had a selection of
cameras at the front and explained how they worked, and how they don't

Grrrr!!29 Jan 2006 08:49 GMT4

little ahead of me indicating left as if he was trying to get onto the
Queujumping vs "pushing-in"29 Jan 2006 02:26 GMT29
A hypothetical situation, but I am seriously interested in the thoughts of
people:
Take an average dual-carriageway section of road. Two lanes of traffic and
signs indicating Lane 1 is to close in a few hundred yards or so. Cars then

My pet hate28 Jan 2006 18:05 GMT25
So I'm driving down a country road, it's 2 car widths wide, no footpath and
there's a pedestrian ahead on my side walking towards me. There's a car
coming in the opposite direction, so I've got to slow down, maybe stop - no
problem, the walker's got every right to be there. Then ...

Can anyone recommend any long term (~3 weeks) off-airport parking around
Heathrow? I'm considering Purpleparking, are they any good?
Thanks,

Jumping to conclusions27 Jan 2006 18:01 GMT3
On David Vine's Radio 2 programme this lunchtime, they were talking about
magistrates. I was only half listening, so this will not be accurately
quoted.
He cited an example: "Police approached a car, which sped off, then drove

Hitting wild animals26 Jan 2006 20:46 GMT55
Last night, driving on country lane, came across a car full
of teenagers stopped in front of a fox laying on the road.
Initially I presumed they'd hit it, but on getting out, I'm
pretty sure they hadn't, but just came across it blocking

I can't see what level of detail the AA Street By Street guides go
down to. Am I correct in assuming that they list every street ?
