Returning home from Tescos at 12.30 pm today, stationary in a line of cars
on the approach to a roundabout when.................crunch. I was run into
from behind by a bloody great dumper truck. This was not a small 'building
site' dumper truck but one where the lip of the bucket ...
2x nupties driving HGV's meet18 Jun 2006 12:43 GMT14
Third car in line being too closely followed by an HGV on an SC. Going
a good bit under speed limit, but not enough to make me risk attempting
an overtake. Round a RH bend appears a large artic coming the opposite
way attempting to pass a fast moving cyclist, doing this he is ...

Flashing headlights16 Jun 2006 20:03 GMT56
I took my practical test today. At one point I was driving down a road
with cars parked either side, further down the road a police car is coming
in the opposite direction. I pulled into a space to let the police car
past but instead it flashed me.

Single carriageway NSL road, 2x artics doing 40 (as they should be!), 8x
cars, passed 6 cars in one move, waited for next gap, passed the other two
and the two artics in the next move. I was in a diesel verso.
Defence against intended prosecution from speed camera15 Jun 2006 20:10 GMT11
A few years ago people were defending themselves successfully against
the Notice of Intended Prosecution by using the Human Rights Act. The
basis for this was that they were entitled to refuse to give
information on the identification of the vehicle driver as this might

Gatso and Cruise control/False trigger?11 Jun 2006 10:24 GMT13
Was travelling to work at 4.45 this morn on a road that I have used
thousands of times before in my new car which has cruise control (the ironic
thing is that I wanted CC to help prevent speeding, not that I have had any
points in over 25 yrs of driving). I also wanted CC to help ...

Today, I was involved in a road rage incident.  I was stuck behind a

which had a sign that said unsuitable for HGV's.  As you can imagine,
it was moving pretty slow, reaching about 30mph if we were lucky.  The
