On the surface it seems a bit excessive but I've had a couple of
cigarettes bounce off my windsceen from the car in front, and a poster
once mentioned that as a motorcyclist he was sick of being hit in the
Hills in Lincolnshire - yes, they do exist...30 Aug 2006 22:16 GMT23
Just looking at a route from Tattershall in Lincolnshire to Mablethorpe on
the coast, via Alford.  I'm trying to avoid a route with too many steep
gradients (towing).  I know that the route from Horncastle to Louth (A153?)
has a couple of HUGE hills on it - whenever driving that ...
Emergency Wheels30 Aug 2006 18:01 GMT16
Had a puncture at 70+ on the M6 yesterday and wrote off a tyre. Was a bit
miffed to discover that the spare wheel on my Renault Grand Scenic was only
rated for 50mph and limited distance. I was assured when I bought the car
that the spare was full size (which it is) and had ...

Another spare tyre question.....29 Aug 2006 22:17 GMT18
....I was with a mate when he went to pick up his new Seat Leon in Yeovil
early in the summer.  Whilst looking over the new car, we came across the
irregular looking spare wheel (still round but smaller then a normal wheel).
When asked ' what happened to the spare wheel?', the ...

tyre inflating foam29 Aug 2006 14:13 GMT7
As part of the bit of kit I carry round in the boot I came across this
tyre inflating foam by Car Plan in Asda the other day.  It's used as a
'get you home' in the event of a small puncture.  To use it you first
deflate the tyre completely, then attach the nozzle to the valve and ...
30 wheels - Geoff29 Aug 2006 06:53 GMT1
Has someone been nicking your tyres?
Why every two weeks? I would expect them to go at about the same time,
as they should have had the same amount of wear.
Oh dear.  Talivaned again?28 Aug 2006 23:32 GMT66
Not too happy about early this morning..
Driving back from Suffolk, I decided to take the A14 all the way along
to the start of the M6..  Where the A14 splits off the A1 near
Huntingdon, they've got some roadworks.  Now.  These deserted roadworks

Crushing confiscated cars!28 Aug 2006 19:49 GMT16
Who saw the recent TV program showing cars being confiscated for
crushing? Did you see the delight on the faces of some of the cops!
Some of the police on UK's streets would not pass psychological tests,
take the 159 mph driver for example.

Smoking and driving?28 Aug 2006 17:34 GMT23
Never mind eating and drinking, what about smoking and driving?
The number of times I have seen people doing some strange vague wanderings
about across the lanes then seen that first puff of smoke go up inside the
car...
Insurance is a scam28 Aug 2006 17:19 GMT47
Ok if you think about this for a minute it m akes no sense.
You basically pay "them" incase s**t happens and if your lucky nothing

they take a small admin fee. Is only fair. But nope you get nothing, you ...
