Driving with no lights01 Oct 2006 00:05 GMT8
I went to Tesco earlier this evening when it was dark.  In front of me
at the lights before the Tesco was a young driver with no lights on.
She drove into the carpark and pulled up in a disabled bay.  As she got
out I lowered my passenger window and told her she didn't have her
Tony Blair..30 Sep 2006 22:13 GMT3
I think Tony is probably a cool guy. He probably knows he's made a mistake
with Iraq but he can't be expected to do a u-turn now. I think when he
hands over power to Brown he'll be on HIGNFY soon after slagging off Bush.

Going round a Traffic Island30 Sep 2006 00:08 GMT38
Could your very knowing posters put me right?
If I am going round a very large traffic island, not knowing which turn
off to take and I am going at a reasonable speed (20-30 MPH), keeping
to the left hand lane, is there any reason for an ignorant bastard
using car horn in retaliation29 Sep 2006 21:32 GMT42
Why do people seem to use their car horn in retaliation?
Was driving through Reigate one-way system and came up behind another car
driving across the centre line, half of their car in each lane. Gave them
some credit for maybe not being sure which way they wanted to go, but they
Porsche Cayenne - Is it a girls car?29 Sep 2006 20:10 GMT122
I'm considering getting one of there and having spoke to some
colleagues, I'm getting feedback that it's considered to be more of a
ladies car.
I would be interested in reading the views of the group about this. It

pulling out on a dual carriageway29 Sep 2006 15:30 GMT36
So there am I, plodding quietly along a dual carriageway past a junction,
with no other vehicles in sight, when I see a car coming down the slip road.
Being fully conversant with Murphy's Law I guess we'll want to occupy the
same section of L1 at the same time so I pull out to L2 ...

M62 Slip road28 Sep 2006 17:52 GMT3
Yesterday I was stuck in traffic on the M1 (north) - M62 (west) slip
road and for some bizarre reason every one was joining the M62 as soon
as they could (neither road was moving more than walking pace), the
people in the right hand slip road lane were joining before the broken

Cannock Chase speed limits27 Sep 2006 23:11 GMT14
When I cross through the Cannock Chase (a woodland area with lots of
wildlife) on the entrance road there is a national speed limit sign. Then
10 yards down there's a wooden board with 40 on it, all the way through
there are repeaters on wooden stumps. At the end of the road there ...
