story. It's the bloke who claimed that an imaginary South African was
speeding in his car. But note this:
"Terence Burke, 50, of Middleton, Greater Manchester, claimed a South
Women & tailgating10 Nov 2006 18:25 GMT9
Why do they do it?
Blokes will catch up with me, tailgate for a while and then overtake
when they get the chance or I pull over. Women, especially young ones,
just tailgate for mile after mile after mile. Had one yesterday but she
White Van Man10 Nov 2006 18:23 GMT24
Are all white van men tossers or does it just seem like it?
Coming home northbound on M5 tonight. In L3 in a line of traffic all
doing around 70mph, all leaving good braking distance. WVM in L2
decides to pull into L3, presumably without checking his mirrors and
Trapped - on a roundabout!10 Nov 2006 13:54 GMT36
Just look at this.  Road signs put up by the brain dead apparently.
New traffic lights on the roundabout on the A444 have No Left Turn
signs to stop drivers exiting onto entry roads.
But the same signs were also put up at the correct exits meaning that
Recreational Driving10 Nov 2006 13:38 GMT4
Today, I have mostly been thrashing the arse off my own car, paying for
the privilege, and loving every minute of it. My missus and I have both
been at Prodrive's test track with the RX8 owners club. 60-odd track
miles, 225 quid a head, 36 litres of unleaded (9mpg, including the
Tuesday09 Nov 2006 21:45 GMT9
Is it the same in other parts of the country that the driving standard on
Tuesday morning hits an all time low?  It's been months now that I have
noticed on my commute to work that Tuesday morning driving is just awful.
Monday on the other hand, which used to be a crap driving ...
another idiot!09 Nov 2006 19:20 GMT14
What on earth leads some people to think they can tell a pack of lies and
get away with it? Insetad of either admitting to his crime and paying the
fine or challenging it and getting off it, this pillock's gone to prison.

Bad Motorway Driving08 Nov 2006 23:32 GMT14
Last night bad motorway driving hit new lows.
I joined the clockwise M60 at Junction 5 at approx 9pm. The "street
lights" on the side of the motorway are not working due to a "cable
fault" never the less a Clio joined the motorway behind  me with only

Good Evening Everyone...
I always dip the clutch on start-up but almost everyone else I know
doesn't.
Any opinions on why you should or shouldn't?
Airport Parking08 Nov 2006 20:29 GMT17
I've just been watching a documentary about airport parking at Heathrow and
it seems some of these companies make it a condition that you LEAVE YOUR
KEYS with them!
I can understand that if you use a "valet parking" service that they need

by the Police not according to the ACPO guidelines . i.e. they were

[UK - DVLA] Field vision test for glaucoma - need to worry08 Nov 2006 01:48 GMT11
I was recently diagnosed with glaucoma. The diagnosis was triggered by
a field vision test, which showed I had lost some field vision, mainly
towards the bridge of my nose.
So far, I have not noticed any other symptoms. My consultant has said
