Astra exhaust pipes14 Jan 2007 21:57 GMT3
I have an Astra on a 03 plate and this morning I found a big lump of
metal hanging of the back box.  I ripped the metal off (got covered in
s**t in the process, lucky me).  It looks like it was just some kind of
backbox cover as the exhaust is not blowing and (what I can see) of

Stupid crash - aren't they all?14 Jan 2007 12:03 GMT12
Somehow, last night my mind drifted back to one of the most silly
affairs I ever saw.

A car, nosed in a slot at right angles to the kerb, slowly backed out.

Today going up the A1 northbound, it all suddenly came to a halt a mile
or so south of Quernhow Slop Stop nose to tail in both lanes. Oh great,
another one on it's side I thought. Anyway gets a bit further up the
road and a wagon has broken down in lane one.
A50 nr Uttoxeter13 Jan 2007 13:52 GMT18
I had the pleasure of driving down the A50 from the M1 to Uttoxeter
three times this week, I saw four prangs (or at least the wreckage) on
my travels (all in the morning around 08:00) and was late two out of
three days because of them.  Didn't see any on the evening return!
Caught without insurance12 Jan 2007 20:00 GMT51
Daughters boyfriend, 17 year old squaddie in the Black Watch passed his
test two weeks ago with the army in NI. Came back here on leave and bought
himself a Saxo (chavved type)

Tesco & Asda cut petrol prices11 Jan 2007 23:04 GMT20
Asda seem to offer the most competitive prices anyway, so they seem to
have a strategy of being the lowest of the supermarkets -

The sooner the better. I admit serious bias in having being very nearly
run down on a pedestrian crossing (lights in my favour) by a driver
using a hand-held mobile.
Red mist10 Jan 2007 21:41 GMT67
I just love how thick some motorists are.
My student was about to pull away from a roundabout (quiet residential
road), but she stalled. While she was re-starting, I was looking at the male
driver behind. He was obviously upset at this 15 second delay, so decided to
