minor car damage31 Mar 2007 23:15 GMT10
Someone has snapped off a grill on the rear of my car, or perhaps a

seen.

M42 last night30 Mar 2007 19:10 GMT31
The atm system was a bit screwed up. There were workmen at the side of
the roads fiddling inside the cabinets, but I only saw one actually on
the road. I was travelling back on the M42S, where the road was reduced
from 50 to 40, and at one point, the signs read 20 X 20 40. The next ...

Changing response to NIP - possible? worthwhile?30 Mar 2007 12:28 GMT5
A friend of mine (honest) got an NIP for 44 in a 30 zone in Somerset.
She has chosen to go to court and is planning to plead mitigating
circumstances: she was called in at short notice to look after her
elderly mother who lives in sheltered accommodation with a rota of

A short paragraph in yesterday's paper:
"Police seized cameras and mobile phones from people who stopped to
photograph the bodies of two motorcyclists killed in a crash on the M25 in

Ain't it great. Organised an appointment in Grays 09:00 Friday because I
knew I'd be free and now another arrangement has been changed and I'm going
to be in Colchester Friday morning.
Normally I'd avoid the A12/M25 in the rush hour and can expect the 50 miles
Oh Dear...28 Mar 2007 10:57 GMT2
The M823 is a very short motorway - only about 1.5 miles long in fact. Its
split into 2 parts - noth and south and takes trafic from the M90 into
Dunfermline. Curently there are roadworks on it so some lanes are closed.
The south side is in this manner and yesterday afternoon ...
What to do27 Mar 2007 19:22 GMT117
I have always belived in driving the speed limit, whether or not it is safer
to go faster makes no difference if the speed limit is 30 I drive 30 on the
button. To be honest my license is vital in my work so risking it is a no no
even if "you can get away with being over" But I ...
Tips and tricks?27 Mar 2007 14:37 GMT113
We see plenty of complaining about the driving standards of others on
here, but only the rare mention of personal driving techniques that
might be worthy of passing on to some of the novice drivers in the
newsgroup. Whilst appreciating that much of what we do, we do without

They have banned the use of hand held mobiles, satnavs have a good
chance of being next, because they are deemed to be a distraction. But
for me, the biggest  distraction is 3 or 4 kids in a car being took to
school. Can we ban kids please. Make em walk.
