What is the position on drink driving or more accurately when you're not
driving?
I thought it used to be key in the ignition was a definate no no. But what

AN APOLOGY.30 Apr 2008 20:05 GMT10
I apologise for my use of the word "c.nt" in this group. It appears to
have become more widespread in the group and even I think it's getting
a little crass now which speaks volumes.
I will therefore refrain from using the word "c.nt" in future however I

M11 Gatso - How can they miss it?29 Apr 2008 16:00 GMT32
I travel through this camera once every few weeks, day and night and its
impossible not know its there unless you are actually asleep or dead. There
are speed camera warnings hundreds of feet before you reach it and huge, and
I mean massive, like 20 feet across signs with 50 ...

Motorway "Time to junction" signs26 Apr 2008 10:13 GMT10
I first noticed these two weeks ago when I drove to N Wales.  However I
don't drive up the M1 very often so it will have been years since I did
this.
And then I noticed they were on the M25 as well.  This is somewhere I do
Reciprocal HVG24 Apr 2008 12:28 GMT248
Just thinking hypercritically.
If you pass your LGV in another EU country - do you get a reciprocal in
the UK?
You hear stories of Polish lorry drivers bunging a few quid to pass the
Junction by Tesco in Stafford22 Apr 2008 13:31 GMT15
Is anyone here familiar with the traffic light/junction by the Tesco
supermarket in Stafford? I'm convinced the traffic lights red/green timing
is the wrong way. It appears to me that the timing of the traffic lights
is that two flows of traffic are being directed into the same road ...
Gap Insurance20 Apr 2008 20:10 GMT1
Just been with a friend to buy a car - he was offered insurance that would
cover the difference between a typical write off pay out and the replacement
cost. This seemed a good idea and at just over £300 for 3 years not a bad
buy.
Driving from Madrid to Lisbon20 Apr 2008 17:51 GMT2
Has anyone in here ever driven from Madrid to Lisbon (or vice-versa)?
According to the AA it's 390 miles and can be done in just under 8
hours, and it mostly seems to be motorway, but any information and/or
opinions would be welcome.
