I have noticed a marked deterioration in road repair in my area. Some of the roads I have to drive on every day have pot-holes big enough to lose a small car. The local council thoughtfully paint a white line around the holes, then do absolutely nothing to fill them in.

There seems to be an increasing trend to replace car keys with whizzy electronic equivalents and I have rented a few without a "starter" key. But last week I rented a Micra that had no external key holes and could only be opened with the remote.
