Spent a little time in that group and was suprised at how
anti-car/anti-motorist many of the urc contributors are.  Some are more
balanced in their views but there seem to be a large number who are rabidly

infrequently.

In conversation the other day the question came up of what to do if
your car's brakes failed.
At first my response was to switch the ignition off taking care not to
lock the steering wheel and to grab the handbrake.

Can anyone point me to a webpage that explains it is illegal to keep an
uninsured, un-MOT'd but with current VED vehicle on the public highway.
This vehicle is not being driven, it has not moved since the insurance
was changed to another vehicle or since the MOT ran out.
