Camera Van Parking29 Jun 2009 23:29 GMT7
Was driving home from work, and saw a speed camera van parked on the
central reservation of a busy dual carridgeway.  They obviously worked
out that this parking was a bit dodgey, because they also had a police
motor bike next to it, with its blue flashers going, to prevent

Can any of you younger (or more streetwise) guys explain to me why a
handsome young man would want to have his appearance wrecked by plastic
surgery? I can (just about) see why an older person might try, but not
really understand. A bit like having a sex change - where the couple I
Emergency or not?28 Jun 2009 14:06 GMT69
You're trundling down a motorway and say many miles from an intersection
or the 'services'. One of your passengers is busting for a pee,to the
point of agony. You stop to let them relieve themselves.
Could this be construed as an emergency?

Twat pulled out of his drive (or may have reversed in to turn in

of the road, paused then pulled out in front of me. I gave him a blast
on the horn to tell hin I was there and he stopped, got out and gave a

Bullet train21 Jun 2009 20:15 GMT48
I wonder how long it will be before some idiot throws a large lump of
concrete through the window of one of these trains. At 140mph,I wouldn't
give the driver a chance of surviving(assuming a direct hit through the
screen).Guaranteed to be instantly brown bread......hmmm!
Scrappage scheme - why the cutoff date of 31 Aug 1999 for first registration?21 Jun 2009 10:11 GMT5
I was all set to trade my car in for scrappage once it reaches 10 years old,
but now I find that it isn't eligible because it was registered just after
31 Aug 1999 :-(  I'd assumed that it would be eligible as soon as it reached
its 10th birthday - ie for a car bought after 23 ...
Motorway speed limits?21 Jun 2009 01:25 GMT167

was safe and seemed appropriate for the road.I can't see why the powers
to be cannot be more flexible with speed limits on such sections ...
