| Strange reg plate letter - X | 30 Sep 2009 11:30 GMT | 9 |
Just saw a brand new 50 reg merc which had the region code of 'X' which isn't listed as belonging to any DVLA office. The car was also left hand drive. Is this a diplomatic plate? B2003

As the days get shorter and cooler in GB, they get shorter and WARMER in San Diego. Due to geographical weirdness, the hottest days on record in San Diego are in September and October.

| Most Drivers Don't Know How to Stop | 28 Sep 2009 22:59 GMT | 179 |
Is it any wonder they have so much difficulty when they are moving. Does no one know how to stop a car properly these days? Most cars I see coming to a halt rock forward and back on their springs making the passengers give a nodding dog impersonation. This is then

| Some seriously impressive truck driving | 28 Sep 2009 14:09 GMT | 12 |
While I'm no great fan of truckers you have to admire their skill occasionally. Go to 2:10 in this video and watch an aussie trucker successfully reverse a *triple* trailer. Very impressive. B2003

| Bloody rubber neckers | 28 Sep 2009 02:05 GMT | 16 |
Trying to join the A3 at Guilford this morning there was a hell of a hold-up, the traffic was moving very slowly until we got to the site of an accident on the other carriageway, after that the road was clear, Why the hell do people hold up traffic whilst they gawp at some thing ...

| Recording video on public roads. | 27 Sep 2009 19:46 GMT | 18 |
I hope this is an OK place for this post, what is the legal standing of "Joe Public" recording their trips on an in car video system? I know you can get "track day" camera set ups, but if you were to mount one permanently in a car, and use it to record trips you

| Whats the max lifting capacity of a car tow truck? | 27 Sep 2009 16:26 GMT | 16 |
I'm thinking of the sort of tow truck that lifts a car up with a mini crane rather than the sort that actually tows it away. I'm just wondering if you got a heavy car and filled it with enough concrete/lead/whatever and parked it on a yellow line it could be an interesting spectator ...
