I've always been wary of the shuttle, but today I took the car over to France and was pleasantly surprised. The journey was very quick and no hassle. Might even do it again sometime.

The UK team aiming to smash its own land speed record has settled on a final design for the vehicle. The team will aim to drive the car, known as the Bloodhound, beyond 1,000mph (1,610km/h).
