Parking brake on my 1995 850 turbo is not holding.  Have adjusted rear
parking brake shoes and internal hand brake adjustment without success.
Could the brake cables be bad?  Dealer says cable replacement is about $400
plus another $200 if parking brake shoes need replaced.  Is ...

Here's a pop quiz.
Rank the following in order of the number of American lives they claim in a
typical year: food, guns, terrorists, flu and cars.
The most deadly are automobiles, which kill 117 Americans a day, or nearly
Dash Illumination '92 240DL14 Apr 2004 23:35 GMT2
Just bought this car last week and now I find that the dash has no lights at
night. The dash rheostat was missing when I purchased the car so off to the
wrecking yard I went and procured one. Installed it and turned on lights to
a nice display of smoke and smell with the rheostat ...

My S70 was in a collision of moderate severity recently. The front was
crumpled slightly, but there was no evident engine damage. After the

740 Knock13 Apr 2004 11:01 GMT1
My 1990 740T with 250K mi has a rough idle that smooths out at 1500 rpm (in
"park" in the driveway).  When under load (whenever it's in gear) it has a
BAD knock that renders it undrivable. Any experience with this?

Hey All -
My 2001 S60 2.4T just hit about 104,000 miles.  Other than the standard tune
up, are there any other items that I should consider having replaced?  If
anyone has had things start breaking after 100k miles, I wouldn't mind

My father-in-law is experiencing a loss of power with his '88 745,

system aft of the catalytic converter.  He said that he had a difficult time
with the replacement.  I am wondering if there was a lot of ...
Feet Heat no go on '94 85013 Apr 2004 01:22 GMT2
The heater works fine in all positions but the feet/floor one.  Nothing blows
out there when the switch is turned to that position, instead blowing out the
top/defrost.
Hints on where to start?
Seat heater bust on 1994 85012 Apr 2004 22:01 GMT6
Anyone know how I go about fixing the heating system of the driver's
(leather) seat? The fuse is ok, so does that mean the heater element
needs replacing? Heater on the other seat is fine.

My 94 850 turbo wagon has died- ran rough and progressed to no start-
turns over but acts like no gas- A2 code 3-2-5 for ECU memory loss. Do I
have to get another ECU? Any possible sources other than dealer? Thanks.
