radio light out requires replacement of radio?!12 Apr 2004 15:18 GMT7
That's what I'm told by Volvo US headquarters.  Hard to believe that they
use tiny "grain of wheat" light bulbs instead of LEDs to illuminate front
panel controls, and they tell me the lights are not user replaceable, but
require replacement of the entire radio.
Paint matching11 Apr 2004 22:15 GMT1
I think I want to cover all these little scratches my '86 240 DL wagon has
gathered over the years. Which of those small touch-up paint kits will
match color code 204-2?
ECC Temp Control???11 Apr 2004 20:41 GMT3
Ok, a bit sad maybe but I have been monitoring the temperature against the
ECC temp setting. I measure the temperature near to one of the intakes in
the cab.
In cold weather it keeps it spot on.
quick question11 Apr 2004 06:29 GMT4
I own a 2002 S80 turbo.  I wondered how accurate the computer is in
determining gas mileage.  When my highway speeds average between 60 and 65,
my car's computer computes my gas consumption between 31 and 36 miles per
gallon depending on the terrain.  It seems high to me.  With gas ...
850 front strut10 Apr 2004 22:52 GMT4
Help!  I have a '93 850 with 103,000 miles on it.  This past winter I got a
crunching sound from the right front of the car.  I finally found that it
seemed to be coming from the top of the strut.  As it was extremely cold
(and could not bear working in a cold garage), I applied a ...
New Aston Martin uses Volvo electronics?!10 Apr 2004 10:58 GMT13
According to the Globe and Mail newspaper, about the new Aston Martin
DB9:  "Lots of electronics are at work here -- in fact the entire
electrical architecture was developed in partnership with Volvo -- ..."

Resetting the " Change the oil " Light on 97 85010 Apr 2004 07:36 GMT3
Does anyone know how to reset the dashboard light on a 97 850?  This light
comes on every 6K miles or so to remind you to change the oil.  As I change
my own oil, and I would like to have the light reset properly, I ne3ed some
directions on how to perfform the task....
WTB:  Volvo radio button09 Apr 2004 23:33 GMT2
I need the "4" preset button only.
Do the obvious to remove the spamblock.

C70 Convertable with a water leak09 Apr 2004 21:16 GMT4
I have a 1999 Volvo C70 convertable that has a problem with water
getting under the carpet in the rear passenger side of the car. I
discovered the problem after I took the car through a touch free car
wash. All interior portions of the car were dry including the top of
Beware: C70 Cawl Shake is NOT Normal09 Apr 2004 21:11 GMT7
I am a very proud owner of a 2000 Volvo C70 convertible.  For those of
you looking, beware of salesmen who tell you that cawl shake
(vibration of the car due to no hard top) is normal.
This is absolutley not true.  I went and road tested 4 Volvo
Broken turn signal lens needs replacement09 Apr 2004 15:03 GMT4
I ruined a big fat ducks day when it flew right in front of me and I
nailed it with my right turn signal. He got revenge before he died by
smashing the lens. I've seen a few places on the web that sell replacements.
Question: is there anything I should know about these lens's? Are ...
Overheating Volvo DL--how to pinpoint/fix the problem09 Apr 2004 02:28 GMT6
My 1980 240 DL has been overheating (boiling radiator).  This happens
after a few miles of driving (10 miles) even on flat freeway in not
very hot weather.
The fan runs fine, and I can feel it pushing hot air backwards
850 Radiator09 Apr 2004 02:23 GMT6
I have a 1994 850T with 115,000 miles.  So far this year I've replaced the
tires all round, shocks and struts, plugs, wires and distributer cap plus
all filters and changed over to synthetic oil at the last change.  I also
just replaced both the switches on the automatic ...
Need your valuable feedback! I'm looking for the new V50.09 Apr 2004 00:30 GMT7
For this spring/summer I plan to buy a new car which has to comply
with some requirements. The V50 is looking very appealing and is
satisfying into a larger extent my demands, but I have never
owned/drive a Volvo (doesn't matter which model).
