| '93 850 heater fan works on 4, not on 1, 2 or 3! | 24 May 2004 11:36 GMT | 2 |
For a while now, the heater fan on my '93 850 SE 2.0 20v saloon has been playing up. Half the time it would work fine, then for the rest would generate a quite loud noise when rotating. Not a squeak, more of a roar! Sometimes, it would swap between these quiet and loud modes at

| 1998 Volvo s70 stuff | 24 May 2004 08:26 GMT | 7 |
How important is it to replace the rotors on a 98 s70 after 60-70k? (I've been told it's imperative). I can appreciate perfection but if it can wait, so be it. The braking is smooth...there is some wear in the rotors but as long as they

| 2003 S80 2.9 H-601 CD error | 24 May 2004 02:23 GMT | 2 |
Is there a way to get into the base (single) CD player to see what, if anything, is inside that causes the error? I can insert a CD and it will generate the CD Error message after some whirring. I can get it re-ejected as well. It just won't play. I don't know if a CD is

| front Tires that disapear like melting ice on a '96 850 T5 | 23 May 2004 13:22 GMT | 12 |
I'm on a bit of a budget and need to replace my front set on my 850 T5. Here in the UK I was enthusiasistically recommended by a mechanic, a brand of tyre called "Kuhmo". They are apparently made in Korea, and are a good blend of sporty grip and hard and long wearing, they are even ...

| Spark plug replacement (torquing & greasing) | 22 May 2004 21:52 GMT | 4 |
I need to replace the spark plugs in a 1993 Volvo 850 GLT. Is there a conservative and safe rule of thumb I can use, such as "cold engine, finger tight, then add 1/8th turn", or do I have to go out and purchase a torque wrench?

| 240 Not Starting | 22 May 2004 21:31 GMT | 5 |
I have an issue that I'm hoping someone could offer some guidance to. This morning, I started my 87 240 DL to find that it didn't want to stay started. It starts and then immediately dies. If I hold down the accelerator, it will keep running, but as soon as I let go, it dies. ...

| Need your opinion on a used volvo... | 22 May 2004 21:26 GMT | 17 |
I wanted to get an opinion from both the frugalites and the volvoites on an opportunity that is being presented to me. My buddy has a 1987 volvo 760 turbo wagon that is in pristine shape. Hardly a nick on the body. No rust. It has 212,000 miles on it and pretty much

Dear fellow listers, I seem to have a malfunctioning driver's window switch; it operates more and more sporadically. Out of 20 - 30 clicks to raise the window, it finally raises the window. If the window is partially down, I'll click
