740 GLE 1985 2.3 Vaccuum piping.05 Jun 2004 21:25 GMT3
The engine misfires at low revs, but, put the throttle down and she
flies. A previous owner has messed about with the piping around the
carb and some pipes  are blocked off with no indication of where they
originally were connected. I can find no information in the Haynes
SERVICE LIGHT 240DL05 Jun 2004 21:15 GMT1
Is the orange service light coming on in my 90 240 DL (185,000 miles) a real
issue or is this a dealer profit light that comes on automatically at a
specific mileage?
Just bought a 240 on eBay...05 Jun 2004 13:47 GMT12

they think.
Thanks!

745 '92 can I replace AC controller myself?05 Jun 2004 04:14 GMT2
I got a relativelly cheap but very nice 745 '92 vagon.
But A/C stopped working about half a year later.
Mechanic said that AC controller needs to be replaced and asked $900.
I'm a computer guy, I guess I could buy a used part and replace it myself.

i have a problem with my a/c.  when i switch it on, the clutch engages for
only a couple of seconds and stop then start up again in a couple of

Static 04 Jun 2004 22:11 GMT3
1988 740 Volvo
I keep getting severe static electricity shocks, I get the shock even if I
have only driven the car as low as 4 miles for just a few minutes. I am
getting scared to get out of the cars as I always get a shock.
T5 to the ground04 Jun 2004 19:23 GMT1
I want to lower my 850 T5 and was wondering what's best to buy. What are
the prices? No adjustable cos they're too expensive.
Stereo speakers for a 1995 94004 Jun 2004 19:04 GMT2
Anyone know of some high quality speakers to replace the stock ones in the 940?
I want to put a CD player in the car but the last time I did this in my 740 I
had a heck of a time finding good performing replacements that would fit the
hole and bolt pattern.
Self levelling shocks 740 04 Jun 2004 14:12 GMT7
I apologise for a similar posting for the shocks.
My shocks are quite thick with a rubber gator on the bottom, are these self
levelling.
Is it possible to pump the shocks up if so how
'95 850 Turbo Surge04 Jun 2004 05:59 GMT5
Our '95 has developed a surge under acceleration especially from a standing
start, and actually you can tell it is there about any time you accelerate
fairly hard.
Probably goin to run this thing in to the Volvo folk, but would like some
Stray wire in 89 240????04 Jun 2004 03:23 GMT1
Coming off the instrument cluster in my 1989 245 is a red and white
wire about 12 inches in length. It originates in a bundle and ends
with a plastic covered female connector. Does anyone know where this
should be attached to?
440 Temperature Gauge03 Jun 2004 23:22 GMT1
The temp gauge on my 440 appears to be failing. It should point to 3 o'clock
when fully warmed but now is more like 5 o'clock. Thermostat is fine as the
fan cuts in when sat in traffic. The temperature sender in the engine has
been replaced. What do I look at next??
Volvo AC Control Head03 Jun 2004 13:15 GMT2
The air conditioning on my 1995 Volvo 960 is on the blink and my
mechanic says I need the following part:
AC Control Head with ECC (Electric Climate Control).
He says this is part # 9447267 but I am skeptical if this
